“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.  Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”  And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.” Mark 10:14-16

From the moment they arrive, children are a blessing from the Lord and a responsibility for all church members to nurture and love.  Come stand in our children’s hallway to hear the sweet sounds of “Jesus Loves Me” and children’s laughter as they grow in grace together.

Sunday school classes are divided by age–nursery, toddlers, 4s & 5s plus kindergarten, 1st-2nd grades, 3rd-4th grades, and 5th-6th grades–with a Bible-based curriculum that teaches children important truths about God and a life of faith.

On Wednesday evenings, Westminster kids enjoy a club-style learning atmosphere with games, music, and lessons beginning after dinner at 6:30 p.m.

What happens in Summer?  Vacation Bible School!  This special event for children ages 5-6th grade is a week full of Bible stories, fun, music and motion, skits, snacks, crafts, and special activities just for children.

Our fall Harvest Festival offers kid-friendly fun with outdoor inflatables, indoor games, costume contests, and cake walks.  Chili, hot dogs, and brownies are standard fare for those who work up an appetite.

We have multiple opportunities for training our children in the Christian faith.  Sunday school meets at the same time as adult classes.  Our teachers use a curriculum from Group publishing.  All Volunteers are subject to a background check, screening, and interview process.
